Quadratic Equation

An algebraic quadratic equation is of the form,

 

Where, A, B and C are the constants and x is the variable.

For example:

5x² + 8x + 11 = 0

Here, value of A = 5, B = 8 and C = 11

Another example of quadratic equation is

x² – 9x = 0

Here value of A = 1, B = -9 and C = 0.

A quadratic equation can be solved using the following basic methods:

  • Factoring
  • Completing the square.
  • Quadratic equation
